picks up where the history of the Salem Witch Trials leaves
off , trailing the destiny of two women caught within the mass
hysteria: one factual and one fictional. The book combines
historical accounts with a family secret that is connected
to an ancient broom that eventually became an heirloom.
Lydia escapes Salem, eluding capture, but is disturbed by
the haunting tales of witchcraft and voodoo. The story of
Lydia Thorn intertwines with the events of the 1700’s and
gives the reader an impassioned slice of life relevant to the
period.

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Drew Nickell studied national politics since the age of 10. With a concentration in history, jurisprudence, and government of United States and Great Britain (having studied these in both countries), he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Journalism from James Madison University.
