Research on the Space Writing of British Modernist Novels 

The study of space writing in British modernist novels is divided into five chapters. The first chapter reviews and summarizes the theory of space criticism and systematically analyzes the characteristics of space writing in literary works.Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four and Chapter Five respectively analyze the writing of British modernist novels from the aspects of religious concern, identity, power mechanism and spiritual alienation, Metaphors analyze the religious concerns in space writing in two aspects.The third chapter reveals the identity of space writing from the three aspects of colonial imprinting, diaspora imprinting and female imprinting.The fourth chapter analyzes the power mechanism in the space writing from two aspects of the power discourse and the power discipline.The fifth chapter analyzes in depth the spiritual alienation in British modernist novels from two aspects: family space and urban space.Based on the theory of spatial criticism, the study of space writing in British modernist novels expounds the multidimensional social and cultural meanings embedded in the space of British modernist novels, explores the significance of space in thematic explanation and provides the basis for the study of British modernist novels A new research perspective.
