Dr Erik Holm is an emeritus professor and a former Head of Entomology, University of Pretoria. A prolific author, he has written more than 100 scientific papers and eight books on insects and their behaviour, and is a regular contributor to, among others, Beeld and Landbouweekblad. A well-known radio personality, his weekly talks on a variety of radio stations have enthralled listeners of all ages for more than 40 years. He is also an expert in ecology and systems thinking and currently consults to the agricultural organisation ZZ2.
