SONORA PASS is a humor laced action packed murder mystery taking place in Montreal, Canada; Vermont; Southern California and Central America.
The protagonists are college friends who were members of JABBERWOCKY, a rock-latin fusion band.
The band holds a 25th reunion in Montreal (circa 1996) for their college friends and fans. Following a wildly successful reunion party in Montreal, the female singer Celia is found dead.
Jonah, the saxophone player in the band investigates the cause of Celia’s untimely death. His investigation leads him to Celia’s brith place in Central America.
The story involves flashbacks to the 1970s relating to Celia’s triangular relationship with band members Esteban and Rodrigo and to her troubled past in revolutionary Central America.

Jaime Olmos was born and raised in Mexico City. in the late 60’s Jaime moved to New England where he pursued a science and engineering college and graduate studies.Jaime I settled in Southern California in the 1980’s where he worked as a Nuclear Engineer for over thirty years. SONORA PASS is Jaime’s first fiction publication.
SONORA PASS draws from experiences Jaime had living and working in Mexico, New England, Quebec and California.
