The author has 21 year’s work experience in education and prior to joining Zayed University she was working at ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) and in Public high school system of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
She is currently working as an Academic Advisor/lecturer at Zayed University. She has completed two Masters’ Degree one in Education from Deakin University, Australia in 2008 and one Masters’ degree in Educational Studies from HCT in 2011 with distinction and high honors in both. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, USA in English Language and Linguistics in 1995.

– She has taught high school, adult and special needs students in Abu Dhabi and has a passion for teaching and education in general.
– She received recognition and was awarded at a ceremony for her participation in the Abu Dhabi Reads campaign for organizing a volunteer program which involved utilizing high school students to play an active role in Abu Dhabi Book Fair.
– She managed examinations for all subjects for the emirate of Abu Dhabi in the P-12 policy section.
– She was awarded with a certificate of excellence at her Masters’ graduation by H.H. Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak.
– She also taught as adjunct faculty at HCT college of education and taught IELTS and Educational Management. Currently she was teaching life skills to foundation students at the university.
– She was an active member of TESOL Arabia and organized and presented, organized and collaborated with TESOL Arabia.
– She is actively engaged in community projects and voluntary work and she has a passion for supporting education and the community. She worked in the Family Development Foundation to support students with specific needs.

Her message to mankind is “Where there is a will there is a way!” She likes to inspire others to be their best and move forward including her own children and students.
