Construction and Research on English textbooks of Chinese Basic Education 

Since the reform and opening-up policy was carried out, Chinese foundation education English textbooks has experienced several stages including recovery and reconstruction, reform and innovation, adjustment and deepening. The research takes the textbooks published by People“s Education Press which have profound and lasting influence on Chinese foundation education as an example. Using the methods of text analysis and logic analysis, it makes thorough analyses and comments of its development history, stage characteristics and changing trend in various aspects such as background, education theories, education policies and textbooks.
