This book is divided into five parts: the first part is mainly about the lecture notes taught by the author in Lu Xun Literature Institute, which are basically centered on the novel creation, many of which are the author“s experience or sweetness & bitterness in the creation. Fifteen articles are included in the second series, of which 14 are comments on other people“s works except one. The third and the fourth collections are all appreciative articles. The former is the appreciation of Chinese classical prose, and the latter is the appreciation of Chinese modern prose. In the fifth series, all the articles or materials related to Lu Xun Literature Institute are collected. Among them, there are "assignments" completed by the author when undertaking the scientific research task, two notes compiled according to the author“s diary and relevant materials, and one article to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Lu Xun Literature Institute.
