Kirsty Gunn, 1960 in Neuseeland geboren, veröffentlichte ihre erste Novelle “Rain” (dt.: “Regentage”) 1994. Auch die folgenden Romane und Erzählungen der international bekannten Autorin liegen auf Deutsch vor, so u. a. “Eine Geschichte mit blassen Augen”, “Featherstone”, “Der Junge und das Meer”. Sie lehrt Literarisches Schreiben an der University of Dundee und lebt mit ihrem Mann und zwei Töchtern in London und Schottland. Ihr zuletzt erschienener Roman “Caroline”s Bikini” ist bei Oktaven fürs Frühjahr 2021 in Vorbereitung.
