About the author
Lynton Keith Caldwell is Arthur F. Bentley Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Professor of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, active in environmental and science policy research. He is noted as one of the principal architects of the National Environment Policy Act of 1969 and an ‘initiator’ of the environmental impact statement.
