About the author

Ernestine Whitfield, is a writer of prose and poetry. ‘the cotton fields’ is her fourth book. She is a three time cancer survivor and three time heart attack survivor. She started her writing career at age fifty five while recovering from heart surgery. In the past twenty years, she has written four books. Her books are all inspirational. Her second book’When The Morning Comes’ did very well. Ms, Whitfield writes with wit and humor, with a little southern wisdom thrown in for flavor. Never a dull moment. ‘The Cotton Field ‘ will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
