Mighty Storma 

The novel describes the whole process of land reform from 1946 to 1947 in Yuanmaotun, a village in northeast China. In the first part, Zhao Yulin led the peasants to fight against the bully landlord Han Laoliu. Later Zhao Yulin died heroically in fighting bandits. The second part writes that a year after, captain Xiao led the task force into Yuanmaotun and reversed the repeated adverse situation. Guo Quanhai led the farmers to continue Zhao Yulin »s unfinished career, anti-spied and struggled against the landlord Du Shanren, consolidated the fruits of victory, and took the lead in joining in the people »s liberation army and fought to south. The novel won the third prize in 1951 of Stalin Literature Prize.a
