Leo Tolstoy was a Russian writer who is generally regarded as one of the greatest authors of all time. He best known for the novels War and Peace (1869) and Anna Karenina (1877), often cited as pinnacles of realist fiction.

The 7 stories in this book have been selected from Tolstoy’s most well known works and adapted for young people and children, making them the perfect introduction to Tolstoy for young readers.

In all he published over 40 works of fiction, including 5 plays, as well as 64 short stories and 42 philosophical works.
