All About the Authors
The students in Miss Gomez’s Sixth Grade Class are from Lake Forest, California. These 27 students decided they wanted to try to save threatened animals and help people remember extinct ones. They started by adopting Jewel, an Asian Elephant at the Los Angeles Zoo. Next, each student studied a different extinct or threatened animal. Many long research hours later, each student contributed to making a book, in hopes of showing the world that they can help!
