The book contains fourteen articles with focus on the issues of Qin and Han Dynasties, which can be roughly divided into two categories: 1) discussion on the influence of life, character, governance, policies and measures of the Emperor Guangwu of Han on Eastern Han politics;2) discussion on the history and official system of the Qin and Han Dynasties based on the new data of "Zhangjiashan Hanjian".Major contents and opinions are set forth as follows: The ancient nomads could not be self-sufficient, but had to be benefited from the neighboring farming people by invasion for grain products, or via the granting from the monarch of the farming people.The invasion into nomadic peoples was costly. Therefore, the Han Dynasty conducted invasion by migration, settling the surrendered in the counties along the borders with less cost on foods and higher efficiency in military operations.Emperor Guangwu then established the capital in Luoyang without further operations on Western Region, resulting in the significant population reduction in west and north area in late Western Han Dynasty.
