Modern Confucianism and Literature 
Centered on the Literati Group in Guizhou, a Border Province

Centered on Gui Zhou, the border province, this book explores the characteristics and motives of the development of modern Confucianism and literature. It is the first time to conduct an in-depth analysis of the interaction between Confucianism and literature in the border provinces, revealing the characteristics, motives and influences of the profound changes in the culture and literature of the bottom society in the remote countryside in the drastic changes of modern society from the microscopic level. It is revealed that the development and prosperity of Confucianism is the fundamental reason for the qualitative change of modern Guizhou culture and literature. Through the analysis of the thoughts of overseas Guizhou literati such as Li Ruqian, this paper discusses the forward-looking development of modern Guizhou culture and literature, as well as the anxiety and predicament of the development of modern Confucianism from a world perspective. By analyzing the close interactive relationship between modern Guizhou family culture and literature, the regional characteristics of the development of modern culture and literature are revealed. This book covers a wide range of fields such as family, imperial examinations, history, classics and women”s literature.
