Discovery of Yanran Mountain Inscriptions 

In 89AD, General Dou Xian joined forces with South Chanyu and East Wuhuan to attack the North Xiongnu and made a victory.Such war was very famous in the history. At that time, Ban Gu, who was with the army, wrote Yanran Mountain Inscriptions which has become an eternal treasure of the Chinese culture.In July and August of 2017, the Sino-Mongolian Investigation Team set up a field survey and confirmed that the Yanran Mountain Inscriptions was engraved on a precipice at Hang”ai Mountain in Mongolia.This discovery has aroused a widespread public concern.Professor Xin Deyong from the Department of History, Peking University holds that "the academic community has the responsibility and obligation to make due explanations and understandings", and then successively completed a series of articles titled The Essays Yanran Mountain Inscriptions, collectively known as A Discovery of Yanran Mountain Inscriptions.The book has made detailed and in-depth researches on the authenticity, layout, creator, etc. of the Yanran Mountain Inscriptions.
