Jean-Christophe is the best work of Roman Roland, as well as the most famous "long river novel" in the 20th century. Through the protagonist”s life experience, this book reflects the reality of society through a series of contradictions and conflicts, promoting humanism and heroism. The novel describes the life struggle of the main character. The description began from the awakening of music talent in his childhood, to the contempt and resistance to the dignitaries in his youth.
