For the longest time, he tried his best to keep away from the Thing, as he called it, but he simply couldnt outrun destiny. Now with the passage of time, he feels the thing (Bigfoot) may have singled him out (continued to appear to him) because he knew that one day this man would end up defending him. Crazy, right?
