Dori-Michelle Beeler is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Notre Dame, USA. She completed her postgraduate studies in Medical Anthropology at the University of Durham, UK, where she conducted extensive ethnographic fieldwork in Britain investigating Reiki practice. Her research interests span across the intersections of contemporary and socio-historical understandings of the relationship between healing and spirituality; medical science, expertise and law; health and wellbeing; healthcare and commodity; the body as culture; oral history and tradition; and children”s health and care.
