Rebecca Romana Schaus, geboren 1992, absolvierte 2014 den Studiengang "Bildung und Förderung in der Kindheit" an der Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen. Im Rahmen dieses Studiums befasste sie sich insbesondere mit der Bindungstheorie, Bindungsstörungen und Heimerziehung, weshalb diese Themen zu den zentralen Schwerpunkten ihrer Bachelor-Thesis wurden. Nach ihrem Studium arbeitete sie zunächst drei Jahre lang im Bereich der stationären Jugendhilfeeinrichtung. Seit März 2018 ist sie in einer heilpädagogisch-therapeutischen Tagesgruppe tätig.
