She has published extensively on women novelists, gender studies, travel writing, utopian literature, cultural studies, postcolonial studies, ecocriticism, translation studies, tourism, Englishes, and Canadian culture and literature. Her recent publications include Alice Munro and the Anatomy of the Short Story (2017), Green Canada (2016), and Translating East and West (with Katherine E. Russo, 2016).
