Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. ON march 3, 1887, a young Miss Annie Sullivan, but lately graduated from the Perkins Institution for the Blind in Boston, arrived in Tuscumbia, Ala., to begin the edu cation of a deaf and blind child, not quite seven years old, whose name was Helen Keller.
