About the author


John Galsworthy (1867-1933) was an English writer and dramatist.  He is best known for his ambitious series of novels The Forsyte Saga (1906-1922), which focuses on the fortune of a family over time, and aims to illuminate the social and economic changes occurring throughout England.  He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1932.
