Social anxieties cause distress for many children and young adults, both in the setting of social anxiety disorder and as symptoms of accompanying mental disorders. Social anxiety disorder in children and young people often goes undetected, and those affected receive little or no help. This book provides suggestions about the background against which social anxieties arise, with information about how to diagnose them and about the evidence-based treatment modules and programs that exist.
