Katia Savrami holds an MA and PhD from the Laban Centre of the City University of London, UK. She is Assistant Professor of Choreology in the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras, Greece. She has taught at the State School of Dance and the Professional Ballet School of the National Opera in Athens, Greece, and has also worked as a writer on Dance Studies for the Hellenic Open University. She is a member of the editorial board of the journal Research in Dance Education, and Editor-in-Chief of Choros International Dance Journal. Her publications include a variety of articles and books on dance, in both Greek and English, including Ancient Dramatic Chorus through the Eyes of a Modern Choreographer: Zouzou Nikoloudi (2016) and Dancing Dialogues – Volume I (2019).
