Paniel Reyes-Cárdenas received his MPhil and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield, UK. In addition to his research focus on the pragmatist tradition, he has a wide range of philosophical interests, having published papers on philosophy of mathematics, metaphysics, medieval philosophy, philosophy of religion and German Idealism. He is the founder of the Mexican Society for Metaphysics and the Philosophy of Science and member of the ChiPhi (White Rose Universities Centre for the History of Philosophy). After a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Nottingham, UK, he joined the People”s Autonomous University of Puebla State (UPAEP), Puebla, Mexico, as Lecturer and Researcher, and is now Chair of Philosophy of Language and Medieval philosophy at this institution. Due to his research work, Paniel was awarded an honorary research fellowship by the University of Sheffield in 2017.
