Dr Prasanna Gautam was formerly a distinguished physician and teacher of medicine at the University Group of Hospitals in Aberdeen, UK. His lifelong interest in the study of Aryan history, ancient Sanskrit and philosophy led him to translate the Rig Veda word-for-word in English. He has also edited, written and translated several books in Nepali, Hindi, Sanskrit and English.
