de Teel Patterson Tiller served with the US National Park Service for nearly thirty years, the last seven as Deputy Associate Director for Cultural Resources. Prior to joining the Park Service, he was a historic preservation planner with the Texas Historical Commission and the West Texas Council of Governments in El Paso, Texas. He has been adjunct faculty teaching architectural history and historic preservation policy, planning, and practice at George Washington University, the Universities of Wyoming and Virginia, and Kansas State University, among others. He is a Trustee of The Committee of 100 on the Federal City and Officer of the Board of The Manassas Battlefield Trust. He received a BA in Drama and Theater, an MA in Architectural History from the University of Virginia, and a DHL from Goucher College, USA.
