Cynan Jones wurde 1975 in Wales geboren. Er ist Autor von vier Romanen und zahlreichen Erzählungen, die in Zeitschriften wie “Granta Magazine” oder der “New Welsh Review” veröffentlicht wurden. Für seinen Debütroman wurde er 2007 mit dem Betty Trask Award ausgezeichnet, für “Graben” erhielt er 2014 den Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize. Cynan Jones lebt in Aberarth, einem kleinen Dorf an der walisischen Küste.
