This work is one of the "Chinese Contemporary Composers” Music Library A*Chamber Music" series. This series continues the original intention of "The Music Library of Contemporary Chinese Composers", and incorporates chamber music, an important music genre other than symphony, to further enrich the project of "The Music Library of Contemporary Chinese Composers". The three-tone set "fa, mi, sol" (3-2 [0, 1, 3]) mainly used in this song is based on the Cantonese music Raining Basho. The granular tone formed with it is like a patter of raindrops; the long tune formed with it simulates the broad banana leaves. This material is frequently deformed and interwoven vertically and horizontally, running through the whole song, logically showing the various scenes of the rainy season in the southern country: sometimes drizzle, graceful and tranquil; sometimes stormy, stubborn resistance; sometimes rainy and sunny, happy and joyful……. This song strives to use modern composition techniques to create a brand-new "rain beat banana" artistic conception, fresh and beautiful, full of modern flavor and Lingnan flavor. The song has won two high-level national music competition awards: In January 2013, he won the "Professional Stage Art" Government Supreme Award-"Wenhua Award" by the Ministry of Culture; in January 2014, he won the "Golden Bell Award" of the Chinese Music Competition of the Chinese Musicians Association.
