Frans Francken (also named Francken II or Frans Francken the Younger) was a prominent painter of the big family unit of artists. He was from in Antwerp. His father was Frans Francken the Elder named Frans Francken I who was a trainee of city’s foremost artist Frans Floris, one of the most famous painters of church decorations for the epoch.
The Younger skilled with his father jointly with his brother Hieronymus but in addition, has obtained extra education in the studio of their uncle Hieronymus Francken I in Paris.
He was a resourceful painter who worked in many areas and initiated new themes into Northern art. A lot of Francken’s paintings are small-sizes works for interior use with centered on human figures.
