Fulfilling of the Scripture 
For Confirming Believers and Convincing Unbelievers

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. There are two means by which the blessed God has chosen to reveal himself to the sons of men, his word and his works. These may be called the two great luminaries of the church, though the one be greater and more resplendent, and communicates light to the other. By viewing the marvellous correspondence of these two lights, it may be easy to see Gods faithfulness in the accomplishment of the Scripture; and, indeed, this is a truth of great concern, and one that calls for serious study, the solid persuasion of which will afford a sweet ground of repose and rest to the soul, though the earth were all in a combustion round about, and give a satisfying answer to our most solicitous thoughts and fears. This being the intended subject of the following discourse, I shall first offer the propositions generally, and then hold forth some more particular grounds, whence it may be clearly demonstrated.<br><br>I. That the Scripture of God has a certain accomplishment here in the world.
