Vera Schmidt wurde 1974 in Lissabon geboren. Schon als Kind bekritzelte sie gnadenlos alles, was ihr unter den Pinsel kam. So entwickelte sich schnell ihr großer Wunsch, ihr Geld mit Zeichnen zu verdienen. Nach einem Jahr auf der Kunstschule Prof. Hans Seeger in München studierte sie Kommunikationsdesign in Augsburg. Danach war sie als Art-Director in der Werbeagentur Saatchi & Saatchi in Frankfurt tätig, bevor sie sich 2004 als Illustratorin selbstständig machte. Wenn sie nicht gerade am Schreibtisch sitzt, macht sie Yoga, reist um die Welt und taucht leidenschaftlich gerne. Mit ihren Arbeiten möchte sie Freude vermitteln und gute Laune verbreiten.
