General Knowledge of Ancient Books is a knowledge book about commonsense problems in the field of ancient book edition.The content of this book is roughly divided into four parts:Part I introduces the form, form and arrangement of lines in calligraphy and binding of ancient books, and explains the paper, font and taboo; Part II introduces the important books in ancient books, such as Old Texts (Guwenjing), the Thirteen Confucian Classics (Shisanjing), the Twenty-Four Histories (Ershisishi), Record or Social Backgrounds of A Dynasty (Huiyao), Nine Major Books (Jiutong), Ten Major Books (Shitong) and Book Series (Congshu); Part III is the statistics of books collected in past dynasties, mainly introducing the ancient royal collections; Part IV is the introduction of banned books and literary inquisition in ancient times, such as Wutai Poem Case, Chen Qi Poem Case and Zhuang Ting“s History of Ming Dynasty Case, Dai Mingshi“s Collection of Nanshan Case and Lyu Liuliang Case.
