Five Children and It 

‚Five Children and It‘ is a children’s novel by English author E. Nesbit. It is a story about five children from one family who meet a sand fairy able to grant wishes. Yet, as children try to make their wishes, the outcomes are not as they imagined. For example, when they wanted to become beautiful, no one recognized them, and they were not allowed to enter their own house. When they wished for money, their pockets filled with old-fashioned guineas that no shop would accept as they were no longer in circulation. As children fail, wish after wish, they take important moral lessons on true life values.
