Soon, a romance with a young man begins, and Lady Susan becomes indirectly responsible for the 16-year-old daughters attempt to escape from school due to an arranged marriage that is brewing. An entertaining and fast-paced novel about flirtatious machinations and cunning plans, "Lady Susan" is a petite, but extremely valuable gem in Austen’s treasury of novels.
