Steffen Dix, 1968 geboren, studierte in Tübingen, Berlin und Lissabon Vergleichende Religionswissenschaft und Philosophie. Nach mehrjähriger Forschung am Nachlass Fernando Pessoas promovierte er zu dessen Neopaganismus und Heteronymie. Er übersetzte und edierte im deutschsprachigen Raum viele seiner wichtigsten theoretischen Werke. Neben zahlreichen Artikeln in internationalen Fachzeitschriften ist er (gemeinsam mit Jerónimo Pizarro) Herausgeber mehrerer Buchpublikationen zu Fernando Pessoa und allgemein zur portugiesischen Moderne. Zum ›Orpheu‹ kuratierte er 2015 in Lissabon eine aufsehenerregende Ausstellung. Zurzeit ist er Fellow am Institut für Sozialwissenschaften der Universität Lissabon.
