Amazing Tales-First Series is a collection of imitative storytelling novels compiled by Ling Zhuchu in the late Ming Dynasty. The content of the book is very complicated, and the ideological tendencies are also different. There are mainly works describing businessmen“s thoughts and behaviors, fate and works describing marriage and love. Although most of the themes of the stories come from the works of previous generations, after Ling“s re-creation, they express the social reality of the late Ming Dynasty and the atmosphere of the times, and are impregnated with Ling“s own ideas and cynical injustice.
