LEARN ENGLISH 

This book examines the structure and use of the English language. It is especially useful for speakers of other languages studying English as a foreign or second language. The work is set out simply with numerous examples and drawings so that it is easy to understand. The units are not organised according to the level of difficulty and the order in which they are studied depends on the needs and interests of the student. It is expected that the student has some basic knowledge of the English language but wishes to expand and deepen this. The book is also useful for revision for more advanced stu A-dents who need to consolidate their previous experience with the language. The units can be done individually, in class or as homework. The book ends with a selection of tests which give invaluable practice in dealing with examination work such as KET (Key English Test). Appendix 1 gives a brief overview of the work covered in the worksheets. Appendix 2 deals with the main grammar points covered in the book. They form a useful data bank although it is the nature of a living, changing language that there are usually many alternative answers which are correct. The discussion of these alternatives is usually very interesting and worth A-while.
