Le avventure della pianta di Vinco 

Perché si scrive una favola?Perché non si capisce più qual è la realtà e quale la finzione?… Perché si intende comunicare un messaggio importante in modo leggero?… Perché ci si rivolge ai ragazzi, ritenendo gli adulti incapaci di ascoltare?… E saranno proprio i ragazzi, in finale, i protagonisti di questo racconto e soprattutto del suo prosieguo.Ma dal primo momento la protagonista è una pianta: il Vinco, un salice presente nei luoghi che hanno dato i natali a Leonardo.Ma non sarà scomodato il Da Vinci se non per ricordare che la pianta di vinco, dalla parola latina vincus (che ricorda “vincolare”, “legare”…) per la funzione dei rami flessibili di quelle piante per legare il fieno o intrecciare canestri, ha dato il nome a quella cittadina, Vinci, e al torrente di quel luogo: il Vincio.La storia però si svolge nei pressi di Manhattan ed i coprotagonisti sono i professori UNO e DUE e un ragazzo, TRE.Ma qual è la storia? E’ ciò che accade ogni giorno: rumore, luce abbacinante, gas nell’aria, veleni nel sottosuolo, la vita di notte in luogo del giorno…La Natura non ne può più, e si ribella… Lei, da millenni, si adagia e impone regole precise, in armonia con la luna, il sole, e tutto l’universo.Ma non è ancora arrivato il momento della fine di tutto e le piante, che comunemente si ritiene non abbiano un loro pensiero, almeno così pensa il professor UNO, troveranno una soluzione, anche se drastica, affinché l’uomo non anticipi i tempi di quando tutto, perché tutto prima o poi finisce tranne l’idea originaria che sempre si rinnova, terminerà.E saranno proprio i ragazzi a continuare a vedere la luce assieme al mondo più vero, quello della Natura e delle sue regole semplici, perché sempre quelle da generazioni e generazioni, che al rispetto rispondono con rispetto, senza tradire mai.Why writing a story?Because we cannot distinguish what is reality and what is fiction? … Because we want to communicate an important message in a light way …? Because we address to children judging the adults unable to listen to …?The children, in the end, will the protagonists of this story and particularly of its sequel.But since the beginning the protagonist is a plant: the withy, a willow living in the land that gave birth to Leonardo.Anyway, we will not “bother” Da Vinci; we only want to remind that the plant of withy, from the Latin word vincus (‚tie, ‚bind’…) whose flexible branches were used to tie the hay or weave baskets, gave its name to the town of Vinci and to the stream of that place: the Vinci.The story takes place around Manhattan and the co-protagonists are professor One, professor Two and a boy, Three.But what is the story?It is simply what happens every day: noise, blinding lights, gas, air, poisons in the ground, the night life in place of the day …..Nature has had enough, and rebels … Nature has been imposing its strict rules in harmony with the moon, the sun, and the whole universe for thousands of years.But the time of the end of everything has not arrived yet and the plants, commonly thought not to be able to think, will find a solution, even if drastic. The children and the young only will continue looking at the light together with the real world, that of Nature and its simple rules. Nature, generation after generation, has never betrayed and to respect, has always replied with respect.
