Healthy Eating for Chronic Kidney Disease was written to benefit both patients and registered dietitians or new renal dietitians. There are 264 pages of educational materials to teach the patient with Kidney Disease not yet on dialysis, as well as patients on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. There are 6 weeks of menus for Stage 3 and 4 chronic kidney disease – 50, 60, 70 grams protein with and without Potassium restriction. For the dialysis patient, there are simple one page handouts with “Good Choices vs Poor Choices”. I have written diets for 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 g protein both for diabetics and non diabetics on dialysis. Included are many new recipes with nutrient analysis.
