I have been playing stringed instruments since 1969 and started playing the 5 string in 1984.I have played in banjo workshops in Colorado and Texas as well as playing at Bluegrass festivals, jams, and two church bands. At the beginning of this century I undertook the project of learning some of the songs in the Lutheran Hymnal.1941 that were familiar to me after switching my style to Bluegrass/Gospel, primarily, anwriting this book came out of that process in 2016.
