Mike Murphy has worked for the San Francisco Giants since the team moved west in 1958. He began his career as a bat boy and eventually served as a longtime equipment manager. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Haft graduated from Stanford University and has two daughters, Samantha and Stephanie. While playing from 1951 to 1972 for the Giants, Mays became one of the best baseball players in the history of the game. He resides in San Francisco, California.
