Life in the Moonlight 

Zhu Ziqing’s poems show his strong dissatisfaction with the dark times, deep thinking about real life and ardent expectation for a bright future, which have influenced and inspired generations of young readers. His poems are "refined in language" and "beautiful in writing", which could give people beautiful pleasure and emotional infection. Especially his life without regrets is a living textbook of life. All his life, he pursued truth, looked for light, loved his country and life, and was ordinary and noble. In June, 1948, although he was poor and sick, he signed a declaration to protest against the United States‘ support for Japan and its refusal to accept "American flour".
