About the author

Ka Vang was born in Long Cheng, Laos. Her writing has been included in several anthologies, including Riding Shotgun (ed. Kathryn Kysar, Borealis Books, 2008); Haunted Hearths and Sapphic Shades (ed. Catherine Lundoff, Lethe, 2008); Bamboo Among the Oaks (ed. Mai Neng Moua, Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2002); and Charlie Chan Is Dead 2 (ed. Jessica Hagedorn, Penguin, 2004). Among her many plays, “DISCONNECT” is the most well known and has been performed across the country, including in New York.
