About the author

Samuel K. Burlum is a career entrepreneur, author and investigative reporter, who’s career dates back to 1992 when he founded his first business. Burlum’s area of expertise has been within the green industry, including green technology, green related consumer products, and public policy relating to environmental concerns.

Mr. Burlum holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences, having majored in Business Management while attending Berkeley College, Woodland Park, New Jersey.

Currently Mr. Burlum is the CEO and President of Extreme Energy Solutions, Inc., a green tech company which brings to the market green, eco-friendly consumer products and emissions reduction technology for the automotive and transportation industry.

Burlum is a consultant for small to medium businesses, specializing in providing them guidance and expertise in the areas of strategic business planning, business development, supply chain management, and systems integration.

He is also the author of ‘The Green Lane, ‘ which is the compilation of syndicated articles and a column that reports on public policy debates and concerns focusing on small business and environmental justice.

His contributions to public policy include formally testifying at hearings related to air and water quality. Mr. Burlum also provided content for consideration with regards to new legislation dealing with environmental compliance, small business research and development, technology, and tax code reform.

Burlum has been recognized by the World Green Energy Symposium, being awarded the 2013 NOVA Award on behalf of Extreme Energy Solutions, for their contributions in the field of green technology; addressing the issue of toxic harmful vehicle emissions while increasing engine efficiency.

He also was recognized by the People of Distinction Humanitarian Foundation and named as one of their 2014 Unsung Hero Award recipients by the foundation.

The Passaic Valley FOP 181 also recognized Burlum and his company in the field of environmentally friendly products and services, naming his business Company of the Year in 2013, 2015, and 2016; while also naming Burlum a leader in the community.

He has been featured on media venues such as Today in America with Terry Bradshaw, and Cablevision’s Neighborhood Journal, as well as in Natural Awakenings Magazine.

Samuel Burlum currently resides in scenic Sussex County, New Jersey, not far from his home town of West Milford, New Jersey.
