Born in Guyana, South America, Albert R. Cumberbatch, Ph D, migrated to the United States, where he received his education. His professions included high school science teacher, curriculum adviser, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) coordinator, environmentalist, and author. Dr. Cumberbatch lives and works in the United States but is a frequent visitor and voluntary worker in Guyana. He takes pride in the fact that he has one foot planted firmly in the USA and the other in Guyana, so to speak.
