‘The Outdoor Girls on a Hike’ by Edward Stratemeyer is a juvenile novel that follows Stella Sibley, the new leader of the Outdoor Girls. After taking over when Mollie left to get married, she takes fellow member, Irene, up on her offer to go on a hike and camp in the woods for a few weeks to visit all the previous Outdoor Girls who have left the club to start their lives with their husbands. This heartwarming adventure goes awry, though, when one from their ranks, Carolyn, learns precious family heirlooms have gone missing shortly before departing.
