Portada de Madeleine Hutchins: Voices of the Warp and Weft (ePUB)

In this collection you’ll find tales and poetry from six Indigenous authors from tribes across the United States. The passions and stories of these young writers span a variety of genres, from psychological horror and science fiction to fables and fantasy. Join a young academic as her eyes are opened to the truth buried in the bones of an institution, or find out what really happened on the night of a troubled woman’s last drive. Gather your family for a fable about unlikely friendship, or adopt different perspectives through poetry. Perhaps you’ll accept an unusual stranger’s invitation to a night at a gallery unlike any other, or take up arms with a soldier who stands between a vicious enemy and the last of the human race. No matter which world you turn to, whether it’s inhabited by familiar woodland friends, a terrible contagion, or unquiet bones, each one is sure to weave the familiar with the new in a cover to cover experience of fear, heartache, family, and hope.

Authors include: Abi Bentium, Rachel Gruner, Madeleine Hutchins, V.N. Keane, Leah Olson, and Gola Yona

Sobre el autor

Madeleine Hutchins (she/they) is a chronically-ill Mohegan living on Nipmuc/Mohegan land in northeastern CT with her partner and two pet mice, Lilith and Lucifer. She has a B.A. in philosophy from Yale University and spends a great deal of time pondering horrors which have been made mundane. When they’re not reading or writing, they’re gardening, walking, cooking (and eating), collaborating on Indigenous storytelling projects, and studying Mohegan language, history, and traditional knowledge. You can follow her @madeleine.hutchins on Instagram and @MHutchins Story on Twitter.
