Portada de Nathaniel Hawthorne: Marble Faun (Barnes & Noble Library of Essential Reading) (ePUB)

In Hawthorne’s masterpiece, four protagonists find themselves in the corrupted setting of Italy—a place where their faith, love, and innocence are challenged. A Puritan American, Hilda, is admired by Kenyon, an American sculptor. While not far away, Donatello follows a young woman, Miriam, into her dark ways. The Marble Faun leaves the reader with more questions than answers.

Sobre el autor

Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804-1864) was an American novelist and short-story writer whose works were notable for their strong moral focus, hatred of hypocrisy, and a use of symbolism so lush and romantic as to almost constitute in itself a counter-argument to any morality but art for arts sake. His best known work is The Scarlet Letter (1850).
